A couple of months ago while on a Trip to New York I stopped in to the Downtown Music Gallery to pick up some new records. While I was there the people working were playing a french folk cd by the artist Brigitte Fontaine. This was her self titled release from the 1970's, which has proven really hard to find almost anywhere else, even with the great powers of the intertron. This cd is one of the best things I have ever heard.
If you like folk music sung by females, languages you pretend to know, or really good passionate music I highly recommend listening to this.
Here is Comme A la radio - on youtube for some Montage or something http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rED_plKho

( I might be crazy or someone just said Azum in my ear, I feel like it has something to do with my new South African friend and the Kwaito music he introduced me to.)
